Room 4's Liturgy

The Liturgy we presented on Friday June 22 was a team effort. GWe greeted everyone using languages from different cultures in our room - Maori, Italian, Filipino, Samoan, Indian, South African and of course, English.

Our God strand unit was highlighted on who God is as compared to the scripture readings we studied in the New Testament. We sang two songs, "Awesome God" and "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" with actions.

We performed a wonderfully done narrative play, "Snow White and the Dwarves". Everyone really did their part and we're happy and proud with our presentation. Some of our parent came to watch us.

We were about to start our Liturgy.

Samantha was saying a Filipino greeting, "Magandang umaga as inyong lahat (Good morning everyone)".

We described "Who is God?" from the images in the New Testament. These are some of our favorite images:

Connor-God wraps his arms around us like a mother hen.
Michelle-I chose the gardener because a gardener will take care of its plants until they grow and blossom into a beautiful flower. God will encourage us to keep going and never give up just like a blooming flower.
Tim-I chose the baker
woman because Jesus compares the kingdom of God to a woman who uses yeast in her bread and it rises. Jesus wants the kingdom of God to rises like yeast.
Bradley-I chose housewife because she is like a lost child being found and forgiven by God.
Benzo- I picked the hen because the hen takes care of her chicks and God takes care of all of us.
Iuvale-I picked the hen because in the image of God it's like God wraps his arms around us to keep us away from sin.
Lucy-I think God is like a housewife because he never stops looking for people who have gone astray, like the coin.
Samantha-I choose the housewife because the woman that loses her coin doesn't give up and cleans her room and finds it. God doesn't give up on us if we feel we are lost.
Ijaz-I chose the bakerwoman because when she make the yeast she lets it set and rise just like God's kingdom.
Scott-The hen cares for its chicks like God cares for us.

"Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Snow White and the Dwarves," announced Lucy.

We're happy that everyone liked our presentation. Each of us performed our part very well. Well done TEAM!
