Catholic Sports Day

On Friday September 14 was Catholic Sports Day which was held at Hagley Park after 12 noon. We're blessed with a glorious weather. We're excited because we had to wear our new school sports uniforms. The uniforms looked flash and they're comfortable.

Didn't we look smart in our new sports uniform?

We listened to Mr O'Neill's instructions before we left St Mary's
School.

The schools we played against were St Anne's, St James', Sacred Heart, St Alban's Catholic and Christ the King. We won two games and lost three.

When we went back to school after the games, we were treated with ice blocks because it's Lilly and Jenna's birthday. We also got treats from Michelle and Joseph.

This is our soccer team. (Savannah wasn't on the photo for she went home early).

"In soccer we won two games, three draws and lost one. We felt we tried our best and worked as a team. The tournament proved we could could get along with each other. Even though we didn't win all our games, we felt happy, we tried hard. We had a great day. I hope it will be as enjoyable as next year playing with other Catholic schools."

This is our netball team. (Molly went home early so she's not on the photo).

"It was an awesome day. Before the game our netball team prayed. We made sure everyone had a turn to play in different positions and felt included. We used different strategies like using eye contact, and calling out the names when passing the ball. We worked well as a team. We really had a fantastic time!"

A Big Thank You to our Parents

We thank Lilly and Jenna's parents Louise and Glen as referees of our netball and soccer teams respectively. We also thank our supportive parents: Alana, Barbara, Archie, Karen, Zoe, Samantha and Paul for supporting their children and our teams.
